Having Internet subscription services available on all my gadgets is not cheap at all – as any nerd already knows 🙂
In order to share one Internet connection among several devices, you basically need a laptop with a wired and a wireless network card and one Internet access device – not necessarily the laptop itself.
Download the Connectify application – which is a routing type of software– for Windows users only (at the moment). For security reasons, I only allow its use on private networks. Reboot your system and run the application. Set up a user name and a password. In my case, I shared my wired connection over Wi-Fi to have access on my phone and on my Kindle from my laptop. If you need to share 3G/4G connections, you’ll need their Pro version.
Other solutions would be:
-create an ad-hoc network on Windows
-use other similar pieces of software like Bzeek or Virtual Router
Happy surfing!
