Optimize your nutrition in less than 1 hour!

Course Goals

At the end of my course, students will be able to:

  • Know what calorie restriction with optimal nutrition is and what is not
  • Be familiar with the basic principles of calorie restriction with optimal nutrition
  • Learn when skipping calories is a bad idea, when it may be postponed and when it’s the right thing to do
  • Know what to expect and how to monitor yourself before and after at least 6 months on calorie restriction with optimal nutrition
  • Be familiar with calorie restriction mimetics, approaches that may substitute or complement skipping calories in the future

Who should take this course? Who should not?

  • This calorie restriction with optimal nutrition (CRON) course is meant for beginners who are not familiar with the topic, the research behind it, whether it could work in humans and how to do that safely. No prior nutrition knowledge is needed.
  • This course is probably not for you if you’re looking for step-by-step recipes or if you are already familiar with the basics and you’d like to learn how to make it all work on a daily basis.
  • This is not a weight-loss course. Although weight loss may occur, the long-term goal is increasing your healthspan and if possible, your maximum lifespan.

What will students need to know or do before starting this course?

No prior nutrition knowledge is needed.

If you can access this course online on any device, that’s enough.

  1. Your ideas are very interesting. I have found that with my high level of sporting achievement my body has survived very well. Now I am 50 but most people would not think I am this age. However being an athlete required me to eat a very high caloric diet, up to 10,000 kcal per day, and so I have a very high tolerance to eating a lot. Maybe my mechanism to ‘stop’ is broken. However I do not complain, my weight has not changed in 20 years, I always weigh the same. If things begin to change then I will endeavour to have a lower weight.

  2. Being low weight is a breeze when young and able to move freely. It’s great that you still weigh the same after 20 years 🙂 Keep swimming! And sorry about the late reply, I have no idea why this comment didn’t show up in notifications.
